Frequently Asked Questions About Strength Training Before Getting Started
-
Your first session is a space for us to get to know you. We’ll talk through what you’re hoping to feel, do, and return to whether that’s longer walks, keeping up with daily life, or simply feeling more like yourself again.
From there, we’ll gently explore how your body is currently moving by looking at things like posture, gait, and common movement patterns. We’ll then ease into a few exercises so you can begin building strength in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming.
-
At The Strength Continuum, we look at you, your life, and everything you carry day to day.
Our approach is both supportive and intentional. While your program will challenge you, it will also meet you in the season you’re in. This work is about more than just exercise—it’s about helping you build strength, understand your body, and feel supported in both movement and recovery.
-
Yes! This is exactly who we love to support.
Whether you’re returning after time away, navigating an injury, or stepping into a structured routine for the first time, we’re here to meet you where you are. By blending strength training with principles of injury prevention and physical therapy, we create an experience that feels both safe and effective.
-
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting.
We’ll take the time to understand what you’re experiencing, modify where needed, and work within your body’s current capacity in a way that feels safe, supported, and sustainable.
-
Most people begin with 2–3 sessions per week, but this is always personalized to you and your lifestyle.
Creating meaningful change takes time, especially when you’re building new habits and supporting your body in a deeper way. We’ll guide you toward a routine that feels both effective and manageable.
-
Physical therapy focuses on supporting your body through injury, discomfort, or specific concerns. We help you to restore movement and function.
Personal training focuses on building strength, resilience, and long-term health.
At The Strength Continuum, these two approaches are thoughtfully connected—so whether you’re healing, building, or both, your care feels aligned.
-
